Students’ Knowledge in Citing Sources at St. Paul University

This study aimed to assess the knowledge level of college students on citing sources at St. Paul University. Citing can solidify claims and make a research paper credible. Failing credit ideas others is form plagiarism, which was common problem among in past until today. A descriptive quantitative survey method used this wherein one hundred sixty (160) University participated test comprising researcher-made questionnaire based 7th edition American Psychological Association’s (APA) Manual. The findings revealed that were proficient both in-text citations referencing assessments. Thus, have gained learning activities conducted by University’s Library Research departments pertaining how correctly cite following APA style. It recommended library information science practitioners sustain initiatives enhance students’ crediting providing them with series orientations training workshops edition. Moreover, collaboration between offices educational institutions encouraged improve citation skills. anticipated outcome will reduce errors proper rather promote respect others’ intellectual properties contribution. Practitioners should also integrate fundamental concept into classes ensure understand significance acknowledging works as they support their own ideas.
